Workshop Description
A STEM Education program will be delivered in a hybrid delivery model with teacher professional learning days, and both immersive online classes for students, plus physical events delivered as school incursions. Stem Punks will deliver an educational experience that caters for individual needs and different skill levels. Programs are developed to enable a creative, innovative, and entrepreneurial mindset. Students will apply STEM skills to produce a 3D outcome using Design Thinking and focusing on sustainability.
A lighthouse model is designed to work with 4 schools with the goal of up skilling staff and letting those schools be the lead for the surrounding cluster.
The workshops will take place over 2 days (Monday 23 May and Monday 15 August) and participation at both days is required.
Following the 2 sessions, a STEM Punks facilitator will conduct one full day interactive workshop in each Semester, at your school. This will be organised during the week of Tuesday 16 – Friday 19 August in Term 3.
