Micro-credentials recognise and validate achievements against a defined set of skills and knowledge. In the VET sector this is called a competency but a range of other not-yet-defined micro-credentials offers exciting possibilities for recognising and valuing learning that students in Catholic schools already undertake. This micro-credential workshop led by Matthew Dale and Katrina Higham of Educonomy, will explain exactly what a micro-credential is and what it isn’t.
Teachers and leaders intending to create new micro credentials, integrate micro credentials into the Learner Profile, or review or redevelop existing micro credentials are invited to attend this workshop, which builds on the April webinar. Learn how your school can micro credential learning in your own context in a highly practical professional learning workshop, with opportunities for those experienced with micro credentialling learning and those new to micro credentials to gain guidance and feedback from skilled creators and assessors of micro credentials and digital badging.
