Lead Well, Be Well Series: Difficult Conversations Masterclass with Andrew Fuller and Stephen Brown

The People, Leadership and Culture (PLC) Section is pleased to launch a new initiative in 2022, the Lead Well, Be Well Series for Principals and Deputy Principals.

We all know how important it is to maintain our health and wellbeing as school and system leaders, and the best way to maintain our personal and professional wellbeing is to take ownership and be in charge of it ourselves.

School leaders have confronted some incredible challenges over these past two years, and we’d all agree there have been times when our circle of influence has shrunk and we’ve been faced with situations that are out of our control.  What keeps us in a state of positive wellbeing varies from individual to individual and the Lead Well, Be Well Series is one complementary strategy to boost our professional toolboxes to better meet the challenges that inevitably come our way in leading school communities.

We are delighted to have partnered with Andrew Fuller and Stephen Brown, two of Australia’s exceptional contributors to professional practices in educational leadership, to present the first Lead Well Be Well event, a Difficult Conversations Masterclass.

Fuller and Brown will take this topic up a notch, so if you are thinking you’ve got difficult conversations covered, think again.  Participants are required to write and submit a brief description of a ‘tricky encounter or conversation’ prior to the masterclass to ensure the program is aligned to participants’ needs.

Time:
8:30am for a 9:00am start and concluding at 4:00pm

Location:
Brother Joseph McAteer Centre at Sacred Heart College
(Corner of Cudmore and Scarborough Streets, Somerton Park)
