This one day workshop is useful for primary and secondary teachers, school leadership teams and administration staff who work with people from a culture other than their own.

Intercultural understanding involves sustained interactions between people from different cultural groups in which differences and commonalities are recognised and respect between people is cultivated. It operates at two levels, the personal and the social.
This workshop will unpack the rationale statement of the Intercultural understanding general capability in the Australian Curriculum and provide opportunities for participants to explore how to integrate Intercultural Understanding across the curriculum.
Participants are provided with workshop notes and school or classroom activities.
