Expression of Interest for the
Numeracy and Literacy Project
Focussing on the early years of schooling

The two year project will focus on the role of play and inquiry in supporting the development of numeracy and literacy in the early years.

The project is designed for school principals as leaders of learning.  School principals will be invited to bring along one or two teachers who have responsibility in numeracy and literacy within their school forming a school team.  The school team will need to commit for the whole duration of the project.

The project will commence in Term 2, 2012 on Monday 30 April (9 - 4 pm) followed by a half day collaborative session on Tuesday 12 June (12 - 4 pm).  There will be an additional two half day sessions in terms 3 and 4 (see schedule below).

The projects will be lead by Anne Carolin (Literacy) and Catherine McCluskey (Numeracy).
