Intended For
Teachers of EALD learners in the Middle and Secondary years
Workshop Description:
The LEAP Levels are used to assess the English language progress of EALD learners and to identify their English language learning goals.
The LEAP Levels Targeted Strategies provide excellent ideas but you may feel that you need to build your own knowledge a bit more in order to feel confident to teach, and model, non-finite and relative clauses to construct complex sentences.
Therefore, in this workshop teachers will:
- Identify and understand the function of relative and non-finite clauses
- Participate in modelled and guided practice to deconstruct and construct relative and non-finite clauses
Main references/resources will be the LEAP Levels 7-14 and LEAP Strategies
Please bring copies of these documents to the workshop.
Please note: If you are in a country location, participation via Teams can be arranged by request; however for full engagement, participants are recommended to attend in person.
