Intended For

Teachers of EALD learners in the Middle and Secondary years

Focus

The LEAP Levels are used to assess the English language progress of EALD learners and to identify their English language learning goals.

The LEAP Levels Targeted Strategies provide excellent ideas but you may feel that you need to build your own knowledge a bit more in order to feel confident to teach, and model, nominalisation.

Therefore, in this workshop teachers will:

  • Identify and understand the purpose of nominalisation
  • Participate in modelled and guided practice to deconstruct and create    nominalisation

Main references/resources will be the LEAP Levels 7-14 and LEAP Strategies  Please bring copies of these documents to the workshop.
