You are warmly invited to join a series of 3 workshops on the topic “Exploring A Spirituality of Wisdom”.

These sessions will consist of gentle input and reflection. Together we will explore the meaning of Wisdom in the Christian tradition.  What is the ‘wisdom tradition’ and what spiritual practices nurture and deepen it?

These 3 workshops will provide an opportunity to reflect on how our work at the CEO connects with the broader religious dimension of Catholic Education and offer time and space for personal growth.

A key dimension of the Redesigned Crossways Religious Education Framework is the Wisdom strand. These workshops will offer the opportunity to get to know and explore some theological underpinnings of this strand.

Facilitator:  Julie Trinidad (Religious Education and Faith Formation Advisor/Catholic Studies Lecturer UNISA)

System Accredited Module:  SAM status for CPF Level 3 Allowance is available with participation in all sessions and with further engagement with the material as negotiated with the facilitator.  (For CEO staff, this is applicable to Level F employees who are eligible to receive CPF Level 3.)

Key resources that will be explored:

“A Wisdom Way of Knowing” by Cynthia Bourgeault

“The Spiritual Exercises” of St Ignatius of Loyola

The sessions will be self-contained but will build on each other in the hope that participants can attend all 3 sessions. Participants can attend these sessions individually if that suits their calendar and other commitments. Please take the opportunity to speak with your line manager if you are interested in exploring this opportunity.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Julie.trinidad@cesa.catholic.edu.au
