Focus
Sara Ratner, Group Executive - Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) PISA for Schools, will be in attendance for a presentation to sector leaders about PISA for Schools and how this international assessment school can be used in individual schools.
What is PISA for Schools?
It is a school-level assessment designed to develop and track the types of knowledge, skills and competencies that are relevant for our students in a rapidly changing world. A holistic “health check”, the test provides valuable insights on students’ academic performance and learning environment. The test is based on the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD)’s renowned Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA).
How is PISA for Schools different from PISA?
While PISA delivers national-level results, PISA for Schools delivers school-level results. Both assessments are based on the same framework, hence the results are comparable, allowing each school to benchmark its performance with that of national education systems worldwide.
Why choose PISA for Schools?
PISA for Schools recognises that the goalposts for educational success are shifting. The benchmark is no longer improvement by national standards alone, but how the best performing education systems compare internationally – based on competency-based assessment. These competencies, include social and emotional skills, collaboration, creativity, critical thinking, innovation and communication.
PISA for Schools is powered by OECD and Janison
