Vocational Education and Training (VET), Apprenticeships and Traineeships connect school students to training and work opportunities. Catholic Education South Australia encourages all CESA schools and students to investigate opportunities to develop their capabilities through VET and find flexible ways of integrating VET so that students can undertake a Traineeship or Apprenticeship as part of their SACE. Students may also connect to a Traineeship or Apprenticeship in the final stages of Year 12, to create a smooth transition beyond school.

This VET, Apprenticeship & Traineeship Professional Learning Workshop for CESA Schools will ensure schools have information about:

• VET for Schools from 2022
• Traineeships/ Apprenticeships
• the role of GTOs
• SACE changes that will occur to complement the new VET for Schools Policy
• Changes to the Workplace Learning Agreement form
• the VETRO process
• Stackable VET

This VET for Schools workshop is suitable for:

• VET Coordinators
• SACE Coordinators
• Career Educators
• School Leaders
• others who believe they need to know about the changes to VET, SACE and subject counselling as soon as possible.

Continental breakfast will be available from 8.30am. Morning tea and lunch will also be provided.

This workshop will only be offered in person. Virtual attendance will not be possible.
