Jesus was a gifted teacher, much of his teaching being in the form of parables. These parables have a distinctive form and an appreciation of the original context of the parables is essential to understanding their meaning; they are meant to discomfort or even shock the listener. This workshop will unpack a range of parables, all of which can be linked to the Doctrinal and Content Elaborations in the Knowledge Strand of the redesigned Crossways Curriculum. It will also focus on strategies to help make the parables relevant and meaningful for our students today.
