Target Group: R-12 School Leadership teams and Co-ordinators with responsibility for online safety policy writing and implementation

Activity Overview:

The activity will focus on a holistic approach to digital citizenship in school.  The intent of the project is to involve students, teachers, parents and the wider school community in the development of policy and practices which together create a safe online learning environment.  Participants will have the opportunity through a series of workshops to reflect on current school practice, identify needs and develop short and long term goals to develop their digital citizens (staff, students and families).  Content will incorporate aspects such as:

• School organisation
• Policy and procedure
• Respectful community
• Effective digital teachers
• A curriculum for digital learners

Workshop Dates:

Session 1:  Thursday July 19

Session 2:  Friday July 20                 

Session 5:  Wednesday 22 August  

Session 6:   Monday 15 October
