2020 Continuity and Transition in Languages and Cultures Learning and Teaching

NETWORK FOCUS
The learning of languages and cultures and its transition points (from primary to secondary, from compulsory to elective, from secondary to the SACE years) must present learners with the opportunity to continue their learning journey (R – 12) in an effective continuum that demonstrates progression in learning and achievement.
The 2018 – 2020 CESA Strategy states that “All Catholic schools have articulated clear B – 12+ pathways and ensured successful transition for children, students and families”. The Continuity and Transition in Languages and Cultures Learning and Teaching Network will work with 2 clusters of schools in ensuring smooth transition between schools and education levels and also continuity of learning.

INTENDED FOR:Educators with responsibility for leading the implementation of strategies that address Continuity and Transition in Languages and Cultures Learning and Teaching across the schools in the cluster. Educators with responsibility over the languages and cultures curriculum.
