Workplace Learning Procedures Version 2.1 has now been endorsed for use in schools for the start of 2020 and contains some minor revisions to update terminology, relevant Acts and procedures. More substantial changes were made to sections relating to child safety and Working with Children Checks and introducing a clearer process for documenting risk management.

A series of half and full day workshops are being facilitated in Term 1 for school staff responsible for workplace learning programs. They are designed for staff responsible for coordinating and/or administering workplace learning, work experience and structured workplace learning (SWL) programs. The full day workshops are designed for those new to their roles and will cover Workplace Learning Procedures, an overview of legal requirements, forms and paperwork, and risk assessment. Registration is essential.
