Jesus was a gifted teacher, much of his teaching being in the form of parables. These parables have a distinctive form and an appreciation of the original context of the parables is essential to understanding their meaning; they are meant to discomfort or even shock the listener. This workshop will unpack a range of parables, many of which are referred to across the Strands in the redesigned Crossways Curriculum, some familiar and some less well known. It will also focus on strategies to help make the parables relevant and meaningful for our students today.
