Workshop Description

This project will support educators to be designers of learning through creating rigorous STEM inquiries that:

  • tackle local community issues
  • give students voice and agency to be the problem finders and problem solvers
  • uses a Design Thinking framework to develop deep understanding

Teachers will participate in 4 workshops with an expectation they will implement strategies and tools explored in between each workshop. It is recommended 2 to 3 teachers per school participate to allow for collaboration, collegial discourse and to build capacity at school.

This program requires collaboration between staff; therefore, schools are required to nominate between 2 to 3 teachers to participate in this professional learning.
