Under the National Quality Framework, a Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) is required to be in place for every service. A QIP should help to assess a services performance in delivering quality education and care and to plan for future improvements. It is a key feature of the continuous improvement focus of the NQF and also provides regulatory authorities with important information about a service to support them to assess service quality through the Assessment and Rating process. This conference will assist educators in developing and reviewing their QIP to ensure it is an effective document, driven by effective processes, to drive continuous improvement at a service level. It will focus on how the QIP can be used as a tool to assess practice, identify strengths and effectively plan for ongoing improvements. Throughout the day we will focus on:

  • the importance of service philosophy and its influence on the QIP
  • developing a new QIP or modifying an existing QIP to ensure it is a valuable and useful tool
  • systems to ensure that the QIP is used authentically and regularly to drive practice improvements and to support a culture of improvement
  • managing the QIP so that it is accessible to all stakeholders
  • reviewing the QIP against the revised National Quality Standard
  • presenting the QIP to get the most out of assessment and rating

Come and join us for this full day event, and leave with confidence and strategies to implement at your service the very next day!
