Workshop Description

Micro:bits offer an engaging, accessible and inexpensive technology to bring coding and microcontrollers into the classroom.  Learn to code a Micro:bit to create products that can:

  • play interactive games
  • take measurements such as temperature and soil moisture
  • wearable technologies such as step counters

This workshop would build upon knowledge learnt in block-based programs such as Scratch.

This one day workshop is aligned to the Australian Curriculum as well as key capabilities from CESA’s Living Learning Leading Framework.

This workshop would suit anyone teaching the Digital Technologies curriculum, targeting Years 3 to 8.
