Network Focus

The aim of this workshop is to identify current issues related to educational assessment and pedagogy and provide practical applications that can support leaders to evaluate assessment practice and provide analysis on task design for the staff they work with.

Mr Hassan Mekawy from the IEA (Institute of Educational Assessors) will facilitate this full day workshop, which will be dedicated to helping senior secondary teachers improve or redesign tasks to maximise student success.

The Outcomes of this workshop will enhance educator’s capacity to develop:

• Knowledge and understanding of assessment as an integral component of teaching and learning
• Strategies for supporting colleagues to conceptualise the alignment between teaching and assessment
• Capacity to construct, develop and evaluate the validity and reliability of assessment tasks

• Standard 3: Plan for and implement effective teaching and learning 
• Standard 6: Engage in professional learning
