A workshop to introduce and deepen an understanding of Jesus and nonviolence. We will explore implications for conflict transformation, peace-building, mercy, forgiveness and restorative practices grounded in Gospel values. The workshop invites both a personal and professional exploration of the nature of violence and how attitudes and behaviours can be challenged.

As educators, you will be encouraged to consider your own classroom culture, practices and curriculum design. We will explore how the new Crossways RE Curriculum supports educators to teach for nonviolence through skills, dispositions and knowledge.

This workshop uses a dialogical methodology to explore ideas, questions, initiatives and promptings of the Spirit to make peace and social justice a more deeply lived reality in our Catholic school communities.
