Jesus was a gifted teacher, much of his teaching being in the form of parables. These parables have a distinctive form and an understanding of the original context of the parable is essential to understanding their meaning; they are meant to discomfort or even shock the listener. This workshop will unpack a range of parables, some familiar and some less well known. It will also focus on strategies to help make the parables relevant and meaningful for our students today.
