An opportunity to explore the idea of what is spirituality and what are its key elements delivered in a practical way with sample materials for teachers.

What is the Catholic approach to spirituality? What are some current issues/debates in Christian spirituality? What spiritual practices and values can students engage in? This will also explore traditions and narratives from Christianity, Judaism and Islam. The afternoon will also include opportunities for cultivating spiritual traditions, practices and values/virtues. The day will equip teachers and leaders with an understanding of spirituality that develops self-understanding and provides insights into engaging students with this.

Facilitated by Dr Peter Mudge, a highly regarded voice in Catholic spirituality who is passionate about Catholic religious education and practical teaching in the classroom, between teacher spirituality and lived experience within the school, parish and community, and inviting participants to move from busyness and uncritical thinking to love and service in Jesus Christ.
