THE MEETING

With recent changes to the regulations and standards, the second round of assessments well and truly in progress, changes to staffing in a number of our services and it has also been a long time since we have provided the opportunity for you to meet with the ESB, we would very much like to offer an opportunity for Principals, Centre Directors and lead teaching staff to meet with the Education Standards Board (ESB). The following themes will be explored:

• Obligations, roles and responsibilities
• Recent changes to regulations, QA, standards
• First Aid qualifications and obligations
• Physical facilities - the importance of not assuming understanding of the detailed requirements 
• How the assessment and rating visits now work, expectations
• Waivers: recap of the waiver process and responsibilities
• Difference between a residual service and an in scope service
• Any other items or questions

It is strongly recommended that a member of the school or centre leadership team with nominated supervisor responsibility for the early years' service and a lead teacher attend this meeting.
