COURSE DESCRIPTION: 

This workshop will focus on dialogue skills to assist in sensitive approaches to discussing sexual ethics topics in the secondary RE classroom. Dispositions of dialogue and wisdom skills can be explicitly taught and applied to respectful discussions about sexual ethics topics. The workshop will canvas topics that appear in current media such as same-sex marriage, gender diversity, and topics relating to sexual diversity. Time will be spent unpacking Catholic perspectives on these topics as well as methods for broadening the conversation for individual and communal moral discernment.
