Cognitive Coaching Facilitated by: Gavin Grift

In this eight day course leaders of learning will practice and internalise effective strategies to develop skills to support, coach and mentor others in their schools.

Cognitive Coaching is a research-based model developed by Art Costa and Bob Garmston. The work capitalises upon and enhances cognitive processes. An eight day foundation seminar opportunity is available to support the ongoing improvement and evaluation of professional practice in schools.

The course is highly recommended for all schools who seek to build leadership density and leverage change through critical dialogue.  This course aims to build capacity by:

·         Assisting improvement and evaluation of pedagogy in your school context.

·         Providing you and your team with strategies, and ways of thinking and working,
with potential to improve learning outcomes for all.

Testimonials from leaders who have participated in this course affirm and highly recommend it.

The Cognitive Coaching course was a significant aspect of my Professional learning plan for 2018 and I was very pleased with the outcomes from the course. It was a very extensive and intensive learning experience that not only provided a great depth to the ‘Coaching model’ but also explored how I can support colleagues in building capacity to identify, work through and solve their own challenges in life and work.  (James Quigley, Principal, St Mary MacKillop School)
