The Middle Years Learner: Identity, Faith & Pedagogy
Thursday 20 September - 12.30 - 4:30pm.

School Leaders & teachers are invited to this professional learning opportunity for that is a component of the Catholic Education SA Middle Years Learning Initiative

The CESA Middle Years Learning Initiative represents our understanding of the optimum learning environment for young people in the middle years of school.  This Initiative will support an innovative and focused approach to teaching and learning in the middle years and animate the vision and identity of Catholic Education in South Australia.

The workshop on 20 September will provide a facilitated and shared learning space in which participants will explore:

  • Who is the middle years learner?
  • What are the implications for the development in their capability to be “spiritually aware and inspired by faith”?
(a CESA ‘Key capability’ in the CESA Living Learning Leading Framework)
  • And, in light of this, how does ‘Middle Years pedagogy’ support students to be “thriving people, capable learners and leaders for the world God desires”?
(cf. the core intention of the CESA Living Learning Leading Framework).

The facilitators will be Liz Dickinson, Alice Dunlop, Annette McCard, Christina Jonas and Michael Vial.

Lunch will be provided for attendees at this workshop.
