An opportunity to develop capabilities in using dialogue and  an openness to the transcendent in re-imagining our school community. How might we respond to our call to enhance Catholic Identity in welcoming, learning, sharing and befriending? How is discipleship a way of life that our school community can encounter daily? A workshop in 2 parts to explore this notion of Catholic Identity and what are some ways we can begin a conversation in our school communities.

Learning Intentions:

  • Making Catholic Identity more visible
  • Deepening an understanding of the relationship between sacred and secular
  • Deepening openness to engaging with scripture
  • Pedagogy and dialogue – being a moderator
  • Creating links between the transcendental and lived experience
  • Personal formation and prayer
  • How might we create spaces for God in our community
  • Re-contextualising

It also aims to equip teachers and school staff with language, concepts and resources so they are better able to promote an authentic Catholic life in the school.
