INTENDED AUDIENCE
This workshop is offered free of charge and will be useful for SPiCE playgroup coordinators, OSHC directors, occasional care educators and early childhood teachers and educators.

THE WORKSHOP

Literacy in Playgroup: a focus on emergent reading

In this workshop we will explore a range of experiences to support the development of children's emergent reading, including:

• ·         The foundations for ‘formal’ reading;
• ·         Key messages for families;
• ·         What makes a ‘good’ children’s book; and
• ·         Embedding emergent reading aspects throughout playgroup.

This workshop will be a repeat of the workshop held on Tuesday 12th June 2018 from 9am - 1pm.

Registration essential by Thursday 7th June 2018

Morning Tea will be provided.

Please bring your own lunch and your SPICE folder!
