This professional learning will focus on the integration of STEM learning approaches in Years 6-9 to build leader and teacher capability to transform STEM learning that incorporates a Catholic pedagogy.

Teachers will engage in a series of four workshops.

• Workshop 1: Developing a shared meaning of STEM; reflecting on current curriculum operationalise and aligning it to the Australian Curriculum: Science and Technologies
  
• Workshop 2: Opportunities to integrate across curriculum using an authentic inquiry-based project or problem. Exploring how this can be achieved while still meeting AC requirements
• Workshop 3: Recognising parameters and constraints in the degree of integration. Ideas about how to provide STEM integrated opportunities in ways that are authentic, relevant to students and not onerous on teachers
• Workshop 4: Assessment for and of learning. Purpose of assessment – reflecting on current practices. How do we assess project or problem-based work? How do we assess STEM?
