This workshop series on Assessing Impact invites senior leaders to identify and monitor the most effective and practical strategies that underpin continuous improvement in learning outcomes for students in their school.

  • How do we actually measure growth and/or improvement in learning?
  • Are our measures valid and reliable and how do we know?
  • Is there some confusion between causation and correlation?

Leaders are invited to engage with current assessment practices and processes in their own school context and align these with CESA strategic priorities and their annual school improvement plans and professional learning plans.

E-portfolios of evidence are increasingly used to assess student, teacher and leader performance. However, Leaders of Learning need to be able to spend time examining how best to quality assure the data and evidence used to make claims about performance improvement.
