Leading Culturally Responsive Pedagogies Project
PROJECT FOCUS
The Culturally Responsive Pedagogies (CRP) Project is a partnership between CESA and UniSA. Leaders and teachers have the opportunity to be part of this research. The project aims to have participants critically question curriculum decisions and instigate effective pedagogies that respond to cultural diversity. Diversity of cultures and ethnicity has long been a fact of Australian society. Recognition and building on the diverse cultural backgrounds of students needs to be an integral part of education. Teachers and leaders need to spend time examining practices to ensure diversity is acknowledged and becomes a positive part of society. As one of the general capabilities, intercultural understandings is recognised as an essential competency for all students for effective citizenship.
