This workshop will provide familiarity and training for school-based users of the new CESA Student Import Manager (ceSIM) secure online application.
Participants are most likely to be Business Managers, Bursars and other school administrative staff that prepare data for transmission from non-ceSIS schools to the Catholic Education Office.
ceSIM users need first to have a CESA Enterprise login, providing access to applications at https://portal.cesa.catholic.edu.au
Before Wednesday 29 November, participants in the ceSIM user training workshops need to ring the CESA ICT Helpdesk on 1300 237 242 if they do not already have a CESA Enterprise login for https://portal.cesa.catholic.edu.au
Background
From the start of the 2018 school year, schools that do not use the ceSIS student information system will need to use ceSIM to transfer student data to the Catholic Education Office. This will include data collections such as NAPLAN enrolment data, AEDC pre-population data, ReLAT and ACARA’s Student Background Data collection.
The ceSIM application accepts populated spreadsheet templates from school users and performs data integrity checks before accepting the data. This process
