During this presentation Dan will discuss the amazing opportunities schools have to teach ecological sustainability by example through holistic site planning and development, and how that makes good business sense. He will discuss the big issues and essential principles of sustainability before reviewing some of the options and pathways available for schools to develop big picture, imaginative, integrated projects that have beneficial social, educational, economic and environmental benefits. Topics will include:

  • The importance of a regenerative mindset, big picture thinking and holistic planning & management
  • How these concepts can help you reimagine your school site and operations and support life on earth
  • A business case for sustainability that includes education, environment and our health & wellbeing
  • Some of the opportunities, tools and processes used to plan and implement long lasting projects at scale
