The modern Catholic school often has students from a wide range of religious backgrounds. How can we pray together where everyone is welcome? And how can we pray together in a way which honours the school's Catholic identity? How can we create a curriculum and pedagogical space that inspires inclusion of all and shares the beauty and wisdom of the Catholic story? This professional learning looks at these and other questions which participants are invited to bring about inclusive prayer and curriculum in a Catholic school. The day will explore good prayer practices and curriculum spaces in schools which express important principles for this challenging and important area of school life.
It also aims to equip teachers with language, concepts and resources so they are better able to promote an authentic Catholic life in the school which all are welcome to pray, learn and engage.
