This one-day workshop provides the training required for NAPLAN Coordinators in schools that are conducting NAPLAN Online tests in May 2017.

It is highly recommended for two participants from each school to be trained, to provide support for each other up to and during the test window, 9 – 19 May.

While this training will be based initially on refreshment of learnings from the 2016 PTRT, there are some significant differences in the platform processes and we will be working through scenarios according to the requirements of the test protocols (which were not yet available last year).

The training environment has now been settled to exactly represent the 2017 NAPLAN online assessment platform and national training materials will be used.

There will be a dual focus:

• A thorough training in all NAPLAN Coordinator functions in the NAPLAN online assessment platform, in the context of the authorised national test protocols
• Guidelines for preparing teachers to be Test Administrators using the 2017 online assessment platform and test protocols, supported by nationally developed training materials
  

Participants are encouraged to do some tests from the NAPLAN Online public demonstration site before attending their workshop. Those tests are available for each year level at http://www.nap.edu.au/online-assessment/naplan-online/naplan-online-public-demonstration-site
