The Middle Leaders Program (MLP) focuses explicitly on developing outstanding middle leaders to support the future success of CESA schools. The MLP will build professional communities of inquiry and practice that are focused on improving student outcomes across Catholic schools. Graduates will work with the individual learning needs of their team members by engaging in collaborative data analysis and professional inquiry to inform teacher practice and professional development.

The MLP is being developed in partnership with the National Excellence in School Leadership Initiative (NESLI) under the direction of Dr Stephen Brown and draws upon contemporary research to ensure a strong evidence basis for all modules.

Key Learning objectives include:

  • Understanding one’s self as an influential learner and leader
  • Mastering how one leads an inspiring learning environment within the Catholic context
  • Fostering supportive and dynamic teams
  • Driving positive change through collaborative frameworks
The MLP will be delivered through a blended learning model comprising face-to-face workshops, synchronous online sessions and ‘leader as coach’ peer mentoring sessions, drawing on NESLI’s well established expertise in blended learning and sector-leading focus on end-to-end client engagement and support.
