Leadership in early childhood environments brings unique challenges and responsibilities.  Its effectiveness is vital to the success of early childhood education and care settings, shaping teaching and learning and sustaining high-quality learning environments.  This Program will support leaders of existing early childhood services in CESA schools and develop leadership capacity in schools which are part of the expansion of early childhood services in the diocese.

For this the first day of our series we will explore the challenges and opportunities for leadership:

  • The foundation for leadership; understanding our beliefs, values and principles;
  • Leadership as an aspect of the National Quality Framework and the National Quality Standard;
  • The qualities of contemporary, democratic leadership in an early years context.
