Explore the Digital Technologies Curriculum in this hands-on workshop which focuses on the concepts used to create digital solutions such as algorithms and visual programming.

In this workshop you will:

  • Unpack the curriculum: language, concepts, content
  • Try practical activities to use in the classroom
  • Share ideas for delivery including lessons and integration with other learning areas

This workshop is one of two workshops exploring the Digital Technologies Curriculum. It is highly recommended combining this professional development with Unpacking the Digital Technologies Curriculum: Data & Digital Systems (F-6).

No prior experience with digital technologies is required.

AITSL NATIONAL PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS FOR TEACHERS INCLUDE

Standard 2:   Know the content and how to teach it (2.6)
Standard 3:   Plan for and implement effective teaching and learning (3.4)

INTENDED AUDIENCE: Primary Classroom Teachers Years F-6

TRT funding is available for one teacher per school and will be reimbursed upon CEO receipt of school invoice.

TOTAL HOURS:  6 hours
