• Literature review on middle schooling – what does this tell us about the structure or pedagogy in our context?
  
• Identification of key characteristics of middle schooling in a Catholic context: pedagogical elements; social and emotional; Catholic identity.
• What element are the non-negotiables?
• Middle schooling and the link to Early years and the Primary years: a continuum of learning.  Alignment to schools’ key philosophy.
• Building student resilience.
• Targeted transition programs.
