The Numeracy Team invites expressions of interest from school leaders, principals, deputy principals, leaders of learning, etc, to attend a half-day session focusing on the integration of mathematics and science and the possibilities and implications of using this approach in your school context.

The session will provide insights into approaches and resources and practical examples of maths-science integration developed by schools nationally, for integrating student learning experiences in mathematics and science will be presented. 

These examples are being developed through the Commonwealth funded ‘Australian Mathematics and Science Partnerships Programme’ (AMSPP) National Mentoring for Science & Mathematics Teachers Project.

The facilitators are:

• Professor Mike Gaffney – Deputy Dean, Faculty of Education Science Technology and Maths at the University of Canberra, and
  
• Dr Lynn Walker – Director of Teaching and Learning – Burgmann College, ACT.
