ATSI Education Focus Teacher Induction Workshop

For new and / or interested ATSI Education Focus Teachers

The Workshop will include:

·        An explanation of the diverse work of the ATSI Education Team and the support that can be offered to schools

·        The role of the Focus Teacher unpacked

·        The protocols around the applications for funding and various programs

·        How to develop an Individual Learning Plan (ILP) for an ATSI student

·        Procedures around designing Strategic Plans and Reconciliation Action Plans (RAP's)

·        Implementing successful strategies

AITSL Standards addressed include:

1.  Know students and how they learn

2.  Plan for and implement effective teaching and learning

4.  Create and maintain supportive and safe learning environments

6.  Engage in professional learning

7.  Engage professionally with colleagues, parents/carers and the community
