Resonant Leadership and Emotional Intelligence

(Open to any current or past participants in the Aspiring Leaders Program and any current principals and deputy principals)

We all get hooked by the actions of others, sometimes daily!  Understanding our emotional-selves provides us with a powerful framework to manage our hooks and even eliminate them!

Social and emotional intelligence is core to exercising effective, resonant leadership (Goleman, Boyatzis and McKee).

This opportunity provides participants with:

An understanding of the role social and emotional intelligence plays in exercising strong leadership:

o      Dealing with conflict

o      Managing critical conversations

o      Managing workloads

o      Participants will also consider recent research into the brain’s response to leadership styles (Group)

A personalised Social and Emotional Intelligence Profile (SEIP) taken online and confidentially with the SEI Institute in Colorado, USA (Individual).

A follow up session to go through your profile and identify tools and tips to help you grow in social and emotional intelligence (Group).

There is also the opportunity for an individual follow up coaching conversation to assist you to understand your personal hooks and areas for growth.
