Dear Research School Colleagues
I am thrilled to let you know that Karin Morrison will be our guest presenter and facilitator at the next Research Schools Seminar:
Monday 9 May
9am-4pm
Grange Golf Club, White Sands Drive, Grange
So, who is Karin Morrison?
As Director of the Rosenkranz Centre for Excellence and Achievement in Education she initiated the first, and later several more, Australian collaborations with Project Zero at Harvard Graduate School of Education (HGSE) and was the in-school leader for the first five years of the pilot Cultures of Thinking project at Bialik College.
More recently, as the inaugural Director of The Development Centre at Independent Schools Victoria, Karin co-ordinated the professional learning of educators at all levels for the 220 member schools and introduced various initiatives, including Leading Learning that Matters in collaboration with Project Zero.
Her thinking and learning are strongly influenced by the Reggio Emilia educational approach. Now, Karin works independently with schools and also develops new projects responding to current needs together with voluntary work with seriously ill, hospitalised children of all ages.
The focus of this seminar will be organising for leading learning, and developing cultures of thinking and making learning visible.
