Picture books are a great way to open up questions in the classroom about what it means to be human. The aim of this workshop will be to explore the possibilities for teaching children of all ages, secondary students too, the complexities of being human through children's books. This will be a highly relational workshop where teachers will be invited to bring in their favourite books and to share them with each other throughout the day. Time will be spent exploring the Being Human components of the MITIOG and Crossways curriculum documents. Please consider bringing your school librarian along if you can. The collective wisdom will be the most important aspect of the day together.
