Early Years Literacy Network (R - 2)

 This year long professional learning opportunity will investigate literacy assessment and targeted teaching in the first years of school (R-2).

Participants in this network will:

• Investigate current research into effective early literacy assessment practices
• Contribute to building knowledge and expertise within their schools
• Collaborate with other schools and build the collective capacity of the network

• Find out what your children know – literacy assessment in the first year of school
• Plan teaching and learning based on assessment date – targeted teaching
• Manage varying learning needs – grouping students: whole class, small group and individual teaching.
