WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION

Participants will develop an integrated approach to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics). Participants will explore the strategies to incorporate thinking skills and problem solving across these learning areas.

WORKSHOP INFORMATION

Run in collaboration with the SA Science Teachers Association and Makers Empire, this 1-day workshop will explore learning design to develop STEM literacy with a focus on digital technologies.

A hands on session by Makers Empire’s session will enable participants to explore 3D design and printing as a platform for the principles of design thinking that underpin the Australian Curriculum technologies.

Intended Audience: Primary school teachers.

TRT funding is available for two teachers per school.

INTENDED AUDIENCE: Primary Classroom Teachers Years R-7

TOTAL HOURS:  6.5 hours
