‘Leadership for Enhancing Catholic Identity’ Colloquium

Developing the next steps for CESA

This one day colloquium is for school leaders on enhancing Catholic identity of schools. Enhancing Catholic Identity is highlighted as Action 2 in the revised Strategy for Leading Catholic Education to New Levels of Excellence (Sept 2015).  It is hoped that this colloquium would provide information and catalysts for action to build on the significant work that has been done by schools across CESA in this area in recent years.

The day aims to increase the knowledge and understanding of Catholic Identity and to build on the learning and achievements of the eleven schools which undertook the Leuven surveys in 2012. The Colloquium will include input, dialogue, engagement with the Continuous Improvement Framework for Catholic Schools and the Catholic Identity network schools, as well as time for school and sector action planning.  Many aspects of Catholic Identity will be covered including the process open to schools who wish to participate in the next round of Leuven profiling. The day will also engage with the recently approved new Religious Leadership in Catholic Schools policy.

Leaders from the original Leuven network schools, past and present and others who have engaged significantly in action in this area are especially encouraged to attend.  Please note that the CESA report on the Enhancing Catholic School Identity Project (2012-2014) is available in this collection.
