NURTURING THE MUSTARD SEED

Venue: McCracken Country Club, Victor Harbor

Principals and members of their leadership team to participate in the nurturing the mustard seed experiences at Victor Harbor in 2016.

Group 2: Sunday 29 May - Tuesday 31 May 2016

This experience will help meet the needs of two priority outcomes that have been set by SACCS for 2016.  Strengthen Catholic Identity in 20 school communities by the end of 2016, and strengthen faith formation of leaders in Catholic education by the end of 2016.

During the nurturing the mustard seed experience you will have time to increase the awareness of God in your own life as well as time in your school teams to develop strategies to further engage your staff in spiritual and religious formation as articulated in Domain 1 of cif.  You will have time:

  • for stillness and engagement with your own spiritual growth through the lens of Laudato Si
  • to experience the Eucharist as a call to justice
  • to develop strategies and capabilities to design and plan staff spiritual and religious formation in your school for 2016-2017.

We are asking that each school makes a $180 contribution per participant, towards the total cost of $480 per participant.  We anticipate this experience will contribute 20 hours towards the Teachers Registration Board's requirement of professional learning for registration, for those needing to demonstrate this.  If you would like any further information please don't hesitate to call me on 8301 6637 or email me at mary.camilleri@cesa.catholic.edu.au
