Trauma Sensitive Schools Project 2016-17 

This project assists schools to understand the particular issues surrounding children who present with trauma-consistent behaviour in two ways:

1. Through participation in two days of professional learning focusing on brain development and the impact of trauma on brain development.
2. By developing an action research inquiry focusing on children exhibiting trauma-consistent behaviour.

PROJECT STRUCTURE

• Two days of professional learning for the whole school in Term 1, 2016
  
• A Research Action Project
• A meeting of two hours with the Australian Childhood Foundation and a Behaviour Education Consultant in Terms 2 - 4, 2016 and Term 1, 2017
• Participation in a mid-point Project Sharing Day
• Participation in an end-of-project Showcase Day
