Taste of technology:  for teachers in the Riverland

The workshop activities are designed to scaffold teachers engage with digital technologies to support students to create digital solutions.

COURSE DESCRIPTION

The workshop will enable teachers to explore digital technologies and the ICT capability which encourages students to use of technology.

Digital Technologies 

Scratch: Introduction and simple program
Other visual programming options like hour of code, code clubs, coding apps
LEGO WeDo robotics with Scratch
Makey Make

Communicating with ICT 

Sample of Creating and Communicating tools for use in the classroom. Tools could include a selection from:

Padlet                            Popplet
Mapping tools           Augmented Reality
Online Polls                 Sway & Office products

Teachers in the Port Pirie Diocese  interested in exploring the use of tools to support students create and communicate with digital tools.
